Snipe These Version 1.4.2 Firefox Wed Jun 27, 2018 10:13 AM Quote

The update 1.4.2 worked for a short time. Now some pages don't populate a Snipe These button.

Also, where there is a button, items are loading in a random order; not the order from the ebay page.

Here is a link with no button:

It appears the change was not rolled out by eBay completely. It's not consistent.
Let's wait for eBay to complete it in this case.

The order may change because the add-on passes the url only, but your local order may be affected by your account.
This will require a major add-on change to support it. It's planned for future versions, but there is no specific ETA on it yet.

Will wait for eBay.

Very few pages are completing with a Snipe These link, now.

Also, tried Chrome, but results were even poorer than I get in Firefox!

Interesting. It should be the same in Chrome as Firefox and Chrome share the same code-base for the add-on.

I guess eBay has a different roll-out depending on the browser type. Good to know. Thanks for sharing.

Hi, Sasha,

Snipe-It-Now pages are not loading in Firefox or Chrome.

Error message is "504 Gateway Time-out nginx"

Maybe eBay has a roll-out?

Thanks

Did it happen just recently?
I see eBay is timing out on those requests. Seems like an issue on their side.
Let's see if they don't resolve it today. They are usually quick on fixing things like that.

P.S.: don't worry about spelling. I spell may name incorrectly sometimes too.

Sorry for the late reply.

It did resolve after about 24 hours. Not bad for an eBay issue!

Thanks for everything! -jon

I had to make some adjustments on my side too which mitigated the issue.
Anyway, I'm glad you got it working after all that.

Thank you for your follow up and good luck sniping!

Sashka,

Another issue has come up.

"Snipe These" is not loading any entries beyond the first 200 items. Using 200 per eBay page, only the first page will process. 50 per page, only the first four pages will load. This is true with Firefox or Chrome.

I just pushed an update for the Chrome extension to address that.
It may take a day for Google to approve it.

There is one known issue with the updated version:
You have to be logged in to the sniper when you click the "Snipe these" button.
If you are not, it will prompt you to login, but will show your account instead of the list of items. In this case you just close the popup and open it again.
It will work for the second time since you just logged in.

Let me know if any issues.

I followed your directions, but there has been no change. No loading beyond the first page (set at 200).

Maybe the Google approval has not gone through. I'll keep trying.

It just loads what's on your screen, nothing else.
Your original issue was because it loaded less than 200 even though you set 200 items per page.
Now you are saying you see all 200 items, this is how it should work actually.

Let me clarify a little bit more to avoid confusions:
The extension scans the page and loads the items visible on that page. It will not go to the next 200 items unless you click that page and do "Snipe these" again.
The extension will no do clicking for you as you may or may not want it.
Please try.

Yes, I understand.

The extension is scanning the first page. Then I click the second page followed by the extension button, again. The extension is not reading the subsequent pages.

It started behaving this way after you resolved the time-out issue on Jan 12. Could it be related to that?

The extension is reading basic eBay pages in Firefox, but using eBay "advanced" pages, the result is the same as Brave. It reads the first page (200 items), but no subsequent pages.

Brave is not reading any pages beyond the first.

Please provide a screenshot of the second page of the search results.
Then click the "Snipe these" button on that page and provide a second screenshot with the results.
All using Chrome/Brave.
