Hi, this happened to me just today (03-SEP-2014 19:46:26 CEST), without any recent change of my eBay password and that being pretty much up to date regarding PW reqirements (12 digits, uppercase, lowercase, numbers and special characters):
"Refused login (password problem?)"

Today's item that causes the error: 351154369240

The last item where worked fine: 201153221377
(I've bid there manually as well since the error occured one time before already, I didn't save the auction ID, though).

The eBay user ID+PW is properly saved in myibidder, since I ALWAYS import my auctions from my watchlist or bidding list.

I see there was a network issue recently somewhere on eBay's side, but it was quickly resolved by them.

They did not update that the issue is resolved, but it looks good now.

I checked the logs and it appears eBay is asking for some additional account verification.
They did not provide any reason for it, but this usually happens because of one of the following:
1. Your password is not strong enough (contains some basic dictionary words, names, etc)
2. You have expiring Credit Card on file with eBay which you need to update
3. You made some changes on your eBay account which triggered that. In this case the restriction is usually removed after 24-48 hours or so.

As another alternative, you can just create a brand new eBay account for sniping purposes only.

P.S.: You would not win the snipe anyway because your bid was too low due to eBay's bid increment system.

Is the refused log in caused by another individual attempting to log into ebay or myibidder. by using your log in by accident but entering in their password will cause a refused log in??? Is this the reason??

No. Snipes are not affected by that.
