Recently, I placed a snipe and saw this message after the auction ended.
"Your snipe should be higher than your last bid"
I did not place any manual bids at any point in time. I did win the auction however so it is unusual. This is the first time I am seeing this message. Did I do something wrong or is there some error?

You did not provide the item number so I have no way to check into it.
I'm guessing that eBay did not respond with the bid submission but it accepted it. Since there was no response from eBay the sniper tried to resubmit it, but eBay responded that it should be higher because the first attempt was accepted.

This is a rare situation, but may be confusing at some point. Sorry about that.
