Add items to group after win Mon Mar 16, 2015 06:16 PM Quote

What happens in the following situation:

• I register n items inside a group G, with a cap of m items to win at most;

• Group G wins all m elements of its n member items;

• Then, I add further elements to G.

At this point, will the last added elements be scheduled for bidding, even if G has already won all the m elements up to the cap limit?

If I want to add – and win – more items to G, even after the m cap is reached, do I need to delete the won items from the group?

I'm using the web interface.

The group counts active items. Once you win m elements, all snipes will become inactive. That means any new item added after that will count as a brand new count.

If that's easier for you, then you can delete ended items to avoid confusion. But as long as ended items are not activated anymore, they are not used for the count.

That's cool, and also reflects the most convenient behavior IMHO.

But how do I distinguish which items are currently active or inactive inside the group? Is there a flag or mark?

I noticed that active elements have CSS class activerow1 and inactive have activerow0.

Can I reliably count on this?

Don't worry, I just searched for some form of consistency via firebug.

If you see your snipe amount in the "My Bid" column, then it's active.
If you see "No" in this cell, it's not active.

The correspondent CSS classes are mybid-snipe1 (active) and mybid-snipe0 (non-active).
Yes, you can rely on it.
