I'm using Myibidder for Android. I just lost a snipe and received this error message “eBay requires account verification”. I found this previous post in the forum, and the reply from Myibidder Support https://www.myibidder.com/forums/viewtopic/5543/ebay-requires-account-verification/
I definitely haven’t had an email saying “your account has reached the limit for bidding and buying.” I haven’t been bidding or buying that much.
I also followed the advice of placing a minimum manual bid on a listing I’m interested in, and was able to do so without any problem. So this seems to be a problem isolated to Myibidder.
Please can you advise.
Thank you.

Not sure why you think Myibidder would add the verification step for no reason. If eBay asks for verification, Myibidder just passes the message back to you.
You did not provide the item number in question so I have no way to check it for sure, but this usually happens for one of the following reasons:
1. You have expiring Credit Card on file with eBay. So you just need to update it.
2. You made some account changes on eBay, so eBay enabled some additional verification steps. It's usually getting removed by eBay after 24 hours or so. You can either wait or ask eBay to remove it.

I am able to buy things manually and bid manually on the ebay website, so have no reason to ask ebay remove anything.
My credit card expires in 2017, and I have made no changes to my ebay account recently.
It looks as if Myibidder no longer works for me so I will uninstall and bid manually from now on. I'm very sorry the app no longer works for me.

You were able to bid because you were able to do so in the past from your PC.
Sometimes eBay remembers your PC, so a new login from another location may trigger such verification if you made any recent account changes.
eBay did not provide the exact reason on why they ask for it.
