Is it a good idea to set the snipe to 3 seconds or should i use more? This is my first time using and i really want the shoes im bidding on

If you snipe something important, you better increase the time to avoid missing snipes when eBay is slow to respond or due to general network lags.
The default value is 5 seconds which works great for most conditions.
