Highest bid but didn't win? | Sun Sep 30, 2012 03:28 AM | | |

Hi there.
Over the years I have used myibay with great success but this morning I missed out on an item and I'm not sure why.
I used the website version and I received confirmation that my bid was placed. Here is what the email said:
------
Hello,
The following bid attempt was placed per your request:
Item #330799513877: Lacoste mens polo L
Final price: 20.50
Snipe: 53.33
Status from eBay:
you're currently the highest bidder.
With Best Regards,
Myibidder.com bid department.
-------------
However, I did not end up winning the item even though it eventually sold for only $20.50
Any ideas?
Edit: I just went into my profile and discovered that "Snipe Target" was set to "auto". As I deal almost exclusively with Australian ebay I changed it to "eBay Australia".
I wonder whether this had anything to do with it?

Ok, on the one hand you have made my day as I got that Lacoste Polo at a great price!
On the other hand...
It turns out that somehow myiBidder used an old eBay account of mine that I didn't even know was still open!
That is quite weird as I have used myiBidder many times on my proper account and I don't know why it would have flipped over to this old account on this occasion.
What settings do I need to double check in myiBidder?
Thanks.

That's the account you logged in when setup the snipe.
Next time, you have to make sure you login to your new account before setting up the snipe.
Also make sure you don't set the same snipe from your both accounts too because you will pay your maximum.
