I place a snipe for item=350131792525 and it didn't seem to go off. It was 10 pounds more than the previous bidder and the seller ships to the US, so I don't know why my bid didn't go off.

I don't see any items in your account.
Please do not delete items in the future so I can investigate and let you know what exactly happened.

I checked some recent snipes and see that it was a network issue on eBay's side (a few snipes from different locatios could not connect to eBay servers after re-trying several times).
I suspect that your snipe could be one of those.
Although, it happens very rare, but unfortunately it happens.
I double-checked the connection now and everything is performing as required so it was definitely a temporary network issue.
I'm sorry it happened with your item and I really hope that you will find the same item again.
Thanks.

Thanks for the reply,
thats not good that ebay was having network issues, but at least this happens very rarely and it wasn't your network that was having issues. Thanks for the hope, I hope i find that item again too.

Many thanks, it was indeed under three minutes before the ending I activated the snipe (faq #4).
